Great location and high-tech pod in SF! In a pod, you can turn off all the lights and have complete darkness. Pod and bathroom were very clean and well-maintained. Loved it and highly recommend them!
A unique experience! The pod was a lot more spacious than I thought initially. I was able to comfortably use my laptop for internet surfing and replying emails inside the pod. The pod has a sliding door and the whole room is very quiet and you can sleep easily inside the pod. As someone who is here for a business trip, clean bathroom, sheets, and pillow are always good to come back to after working all day.
Best last-minute stay in the city! Very clean and close to BART, Powell Station. I was hanging out with my friends in San Francisco and I decided to stay for one night instead of taking a train back to south bay. Would recommend anyone who ended up staying in San Francisco late and looking for a last-minute place to sleep! This is best value for money
I stayed there for a week whilst moving. Pod was tidy and comfy. Fair amount of amenities that help cut down on the costs normally associated with travel. It has a safe inside to put your wallet and phone. There's a kitchen to cook for yourself. Centrally located and close to shops. A washing machine and dryer in the hotel. Overall, was exactly what I was looking for!
Great for the price and location. Pods are new and clean, bedsheets were a bit stained though. It gets a bit warm inside the pod depending on the weather, since the rooms have no air conditioning. Nice place to stay in on the cheap.
The Pod Room is a 5+ ... it represents a unique way for the budget traveller to experience SF. The concept of staying in a POD works really well when you are in a city that shouts - GET OUT OF YOUR ROOM. The tram is just around the corner on Powell St and the bus tours are just a few hundred metres away at Union Square (the train to airport is also just a stroll down Powell St). The POD room is complemented nicely by being part of the Bartlett and the bar at the Bartlett is a good way to kick back after a full day of touring the city. My stay was frustrated by a locker that just wouldn't work despite the best efforts of staff (a work around was found), but the overall experience still equals a 5.
Bed is pretty comfortable and I enjoyed the privacy that the pod provided. The pod was roomy enough for me to get dressed inside of it. The only problem I had was that the lock on the locker outside of my pod kept resetting. I'd have to call front desk to be able to get my things. Other than that, I had a great stay!
The pod, toilet and shower area are all very clean. Body and hair shampoo provided, so you don't have to bring your own. Towel is provided as well. There's a sink in the room so you don't have to leave the room just to wash your hands or brush your teeth. Just a few minutes away from Powell BART station. The only downside is that the pods are not rigid enough, so you can feel the movement of the people above or below you.
